The invention relates to an apparatus for guarding against insects. It relates to an apparatus comprising a supporting device (10), a framework (20) carried by the supporting device and a curtain carried by the framework and designed to surround a protected area. The framework comprises a central pivot (22) about which several arms can pivot about practically the same axis, this axis being intended to be approximately vertical. The arms (24, 26) are able to pivot about this axis between a use position in which they are distributed around this axis, and a rest position in which they are all placed on the same side of a vertical plane passing through the pivot.
