<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to change the contents of an instruction when the data position is set in the final storage area of a memory by converting forcibly the access address formed in a program counter with execution of an instruction into an access address space formed in a packaged memory. CONSTITUTION:The bit of a specific digit position of a program counter 7 is set at logical value '0' by a wiring including the selection/connection circuits 8a and 8b and in accordance with the storage capacity of a ROM 1. Under such conditions, it is supposed that an instruction is executed to have an access to the final storage area of the largest memory that can be packaged. Thus an address space to receive an access is forcibly converted into an address space of the final part of the ROM 1 by a wiring through the counter 7. Thus it is possible to have an access to the storage area of the final part of the ROM 1 with the same program. That is, the accesses are possible to the different data tables without changing a microprogram nor the hardware.</p> |
