PURPOSE:To obtain cosmetics capable of forming stable gel and being excellent in water resistance, oil resistance, use feeling and stability with the lapse of time. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetics obtained by blending (A) a gelling agent, e.g. 12-hydroxystearic acid or a higher fatty acid ester with (B) an alkyl glycerin ether-modified silicone of formula I [at least one of R<1> to R<12> is formula II (Q is 3-20C divalent hydrocarbon group, provided that at least one is H) and others are 1-30C hydrocarbon groups or X-R<15> (X is divalent hydrocarbon group containing an ether bond and/or ester bond; R<15> is 1-30C hydrocarbon group) ; (l), (m) and (n) are 0-2000; when (l)+(m)+(n) is 0, at least one of R<1> to R<3> and R<10> to R<12> is formula II], preferably a compound of formula III [R<1>A is 8-24C alkyl; (u) is 3-100; (w) is 2-50; (v) is 1/(2w to 6w)] and (C) a silicone oil at a weight ratio of the components A of 0.5-20 and B of 0.3-6 and C of 50-99.2.
