PURPOSE: To reduce noise by arranging a buffer in an inlet of a compressor having a MWE(Map Width Enhanced) structure. CONSTITUTION: A buffer is mounted in an inlet of a compressor having a MWE structure. The buffer is comprised of a conic frustum end portion 20, the diameter of which is convergent toward the distal end of an inner wall 14. Thus, a chamber is defined between the radially outer side of the buffer and the radially inner side of an outer wall 16. The chamber is communicated with a chamber 17. The inner diameter of the distal end of the end portion 20 most closely adjacent to the inner wall 14 is substantially equal to the inner diameter of the inner wall 14. |
