PURPOSE:To prevent impurities from being produced by melting a cutting place by arc current applied between a cutting bar composed of aluminum material (compound) and a thick aluminum plate being a material to be cut and blowing off this molten metal with compressed air. CONSTITUTION:The tip of the cutting bar 5 is approached to a cutting place of the thick aluminum plate 10. As a result, an arc is generated between the tip of the cutting bar 5 and the cutting place of the thick aluminum plate 10 and the cutting place is melted by this arc heat. At this time, compressed air from an oxygen gas bomb 7 is ejected from the neighborhood of the tip of the cutting bar 5 through a pipe 9 to blow off the molten metal. In this way, bad influence is hardly exerted by no production of impurities to the base material and the impurities such as oxide can be inhibited from mixing. |
