PURPOSE:To suitably predict and manage color reproduction by area modulation even when a light is scattered in a support. CONSTITUTION:The density (reflectance) of a test chart recorded while its area ratio is changed is measured at first (S1) to decide the coefficient (S2). Moreover, a spectral reflecting of each developed color (yellow uncompressed part, a magenta uncompressed part, a cyan uncompressed part, a yellow and magenta uncompressed overprinting part, a cyan and magenta uncompressed overprinting part, and a yellow, magenta and cyan uncompressed overprinting part, and a support) is measured (S3). Then a dot area ratio (c, m, y) of a part desired to be reproduced is inputted (S4), and the area ratio of each color is calculated from the dot area ratio (S5). Then a correction Neugebauer equation is used to calculate an overall spectral reflecting based on the calculated area ratio of each color (S6) to calculate a prediction three-stimulation value of the reproduced color. |
