<p>PURPOSE:To produce a composite damping material having good damping capacity within a wide temp. range by holding a crosslinked resin obtained by reacting a prepolymer with a low mol.wt. compound having a functional group forming a covalent bond upon the reaction with the functional group of the prepolymer between two metals. CONSTITUTION:A composite damping material is produced by holding a crosslinked resin obtained by reacting a prepolymer (e.g. unsaturated polyester) and a low mol.wt. compound (e.g. isocyanate compound) having a functional group forming a covalent bond upon the reaction with the functional group of the prepolymer between two metals. The composite damping material has good damping capacity and shows excellent bonding strength between the resin and the metals at low temp. and high temp. and, when the resin is compounded with a conductive filler, (e.g. copper powder), the composite damping material is also excellent in spot weldability.</p> |
