PURPOSE:To enable the conformity of display position relationship between a road map and the place names and the like of road guide information so as to prevent the confusion of a driver caused by the difference of the advance direction (azimuth) of an automobile, and performing the rotational processing of graphic information such as intersection shape edited from road guide information obtained from the outside. CONSTITUTION:In an automobile road guide display device for displaying a road map, the position display of one's own automobile and the information of a road guide system in the superimposed state, there are provided a one's own automobile position information control part 13 for computing the position of one's own automobile; an intersection information control device 14 for editing the shape of the road and intersection graphically from the information received from the outside so as to make the display positions of branch destination place names correspond to the edited graphic form; and an image plane information control part 15 for computing the advance direction of one's own automobile from the one's own automobile position information of the one's own automobile position information control part 13 so as to rotate the graphic information edited by the intersection information control device 14 in correspondence with the computed advance direction. |
