Structure for a machine tool, particularly a spark-erosion machine tool which comprises two portal frames (3) actuated independently, each portal frame being mounted on a head-holding carriage (4) carrying the upper head (40) which can be moved along the axis O:X with respect to the portal frame, and the assembly being movable along the axis O:Y with respect to the bed (2) with openable side walls.
