摘要 |
Thermally expandable fireproofing materials (I) contain (a) expanded graphite, (b) polymeric binders, (c) substances which form a carbon skeleton when exposed to fire, (d) hollow microspheres and opt. (e) other additives. (I) are opt. applied to a supporting sheet. Also claimed is a fire protection laminate, comprising (I) on a supporting sheet. Pref. (b) is chloroprene rubber, polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl acetate (PVAC) and/or polyacrylate, pref. in the form of an aq. latex dispersion. Pref. (c) are PF resins. Pref. (I) contain 10-60 wt.% (a), 5-25 wt.% (b), 2-25 wt.% (c) and 0.5-5 wt.% (d). Pref. (d) are spheres of glass, PVC, polyolefin, PAN, polyester, etc., with dia. 0.05-0.2 mm, and (d) are, e.g. melamine, graphite salts, dicyandiamide, polyammonium phosphates, glass fibre, silica, Al(OH)3 etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are intumescent materials with improved fire protection properties and a high expansion pressure. (I) are useful esp. as fireproof seals in joints between walls, cable openings etc.; in case of fire, they expand to form a better heat seal than prior-art material
