Cathodic corrosion protection is obtd. in an enamelled watertank by application of a protective current, which is loweredfrom a normal level of 50 mA, while water is being used and thecontents are being regularly changed, to a min. level of 5 mAduring non-operating phases. The reduction can be controlled bydetection that no water has been withdrawn in a given period.
