The press consists of a lower- and an upper-plate (3) and endless steel strips (1) which run round the upper- and the lower-plate. Rollers which also run round the press plates are placed between the plates and the steel strips (1). The surfaces of the plates, which come into contact with the rollers consists of a layer of hard material which has been welded on by laser welding. ADVANTAGE - Long life of the press plates.
