The height-adjustable telescopic component (5), especially caravan table leg, consists of an outer tube (1) and movable inner tube (2) containing a third, movably mounted tube (3). Between the first (1) and second (2) tube is an externally released brake consisting of two conical sleeves (6,7). Between the second and third tubes is a catch consisting of a pawl (9) and cavity (10) automatically released by a fixed pin (8). The outer tube (1) is fixed to a plate (11) and closed at the opposite end by a perforated disc (12) forming a stop for one of the two conical sleeves. The other conical sleeve is pressed by an externally operated pedal (13) and tie rods (14,15). Elongated springs (16,17) guide a groove (19,20,21) piston (18). USE/ADVANTAGE - The compact telescopic leg is continuously adjustable and can be pulled out to three times its compact length.
