The container filling machine has a container transport track, a metering unit, and filling funnels settable on the containers. The transport track comprises an inlet section with a conveyer belt, a filling zone, and a discharge conveyor belt. A large of filling funnels (4) are coupled to an endless chain conveyor (7), travelling close one behind the other above the track (1) on the forward run (8). At the inlet section (E) there is a screw conveyor (12), working in synchronism with the chain conveyor, whose turns (13) act against the sides of the containers (2). Thus they are kept at intervals to match those (a) between the funnel outlets (14). The funnel and conveyor tracks are inclined to each other at the inlet and discharge belt (6) sections and extract the funnel outlets w.r.t. containers. Above the track (1) at the filling zone (F) is a weighing machine, forming the metering unit, delivering the prod in a continuous stream as the containers pass by.
