The wheel (3) rotates very closely in its housing (2) on a horizontal shaft (4) with radial blades (5) which form compartments for the bulk material. The pressure difference between the outlet (7) and inlet (6) brings about curvature of the shaft which is compensated by a counter-torque from a piston-cylinder unit (21) on a lateral prolongation. The shaft is supported on additional axial bearings (14,15) displaced radially by the piston (22). USE/ADVANTAGE - In delivery from a silo, the gap between the wheel and its housing can be very small, and without air leakage the efficiency is very high.
