Pre-heating heat-exchanger for combustion engines - passes medium under pressure through tubes with increased internal and external surfaces and having fins on inner and outer surfaces

The heat-exchanger pre-heats a first medium under increased pressure by a second unpressurised one. The first medium is directed through tubes (7) extending through a chamber through which the second medium flows. The tubes have a structure (8, 9) increasing their surface are on both inside and outside. There are longitudinal fins on the inside and transverse ones on the outside, and the tubes run in spirals. There is a displacement body (11) in the centre of the tube bundle formed by the feed and discharge pipes (4, 3) for the first medium. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for gas turbines. Maximum waste heat utilisation, compact, strong, and easy to maintain.
