Image tube (10) with electrostatic shutter provided with shutter means (17) between an electron source (12) and focusing and accelerating means (13), an electron stream propagating through a grid of equipotentials in order to form an image on a target (14). The shutter means consist of an annular electrode (17) coinciding with one equipotential.
