Calcium phosphate cement compositions

A calcium phosphate cement for use in repairing teeth and bones comprises (a) alpha -type calcium tertiary phosphate or calcium quaternary phosphate and (b) calcium primary phosphate or calcium secondary phosphate or a mixture thereof. The cement has a Ca/P molar ratio of 1.30 to 1.90 when component (a) is calcium quaternary phosphate, 1.35 to 1.49 when component (a) is alpha -type calcium tertiary phosphate, and in either case a particle size range of from 0.1 to 1.0 mm.
