<p>A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material optically sensitized in red wavelength region. The light-sensitive material comprises a support having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer containing an optical sensitizing dye represented by the following formula I; <CHEM> wherein Z is a group of atoms necessary to form a thiazole ring, a benzothiazole ring, a naphthothiazole ring, a selenazole ring, a benzoselenazole ring or a naphthoselenazole ring; R<5>, R<6>, R<7>, R<8> and R psi are independently a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, provided that at least three of groups represented by R<5>, R<6>, R<7>, R<8> and R psi each has an organic group having a water-solubilizing group. The light-sensitive material is excellent in storage stability and lowered color stain after processing.</p> |
