<p>A thermoplastic bedding 5, 12, 14 formed by extrusion with an embedded electrically conducting wire 28 is bonded to the thermoplastic shell 4, 6 of a luggage case by positioning it in the desired location and passing an electric current through the wire, thereby to heat the beading and fuse it to the shell.
