Water is fed under pressure to the areas adjacent to the outside of the tunnel bottom and at least the under parts of the tunnel section side walls. At the same time, support heel formations projecting from the tunnel wall outside laterally are used for utilising the push strength of the surrounding earth mass for balancing the upward pressure force at the shaft bottom caused by water input. |
