Process for obtaining an ion exchanger product for graphite support surfaces, which is characterised in that the combination of an agglutinating material, such as a powdered polyvinyl halide, a powder sensor substance (ion exchanger materials) and a solvent in suitable proportions for the thickness and sensitivity of the mass which has to be obtained, is placed in a container with a cover. These components are stirred together and the said mass is deposited, with stirring, dropwise onto the preferably rough surface of the appropriate graphite substrate and the surface so treated is placed in a drying stove at a temperature between 30 and 50 degree C, leaving it there for a minimum of 12 hours. Once the product has dried and solidified it is washed at various times with distilled water by simple immersion and eventually hydrated, thus leaving the finished product for use as most appropriate.
