BATTERY DRIVEN ELECTRONIC APPLIANCE

PURPOSE:To prevent an electric appliance from stopping in the way of a series of operations or recorded data from being destroyed or erased due to inadvertent malfunction caused by battery voltage drop and to indicate battery exchange time or battery charging time accurately. CONSTITUTION:A first voltage detector 20 detects a time when the battery voltage drops below a predetermined level and a second voltage detecting circuit 21 detects a time when the battery voltage during operation of a motor (electromagnetic induction type driving means) 16 reaches a second predetermined level which is lower than the first predetermined level but slightly higher than the lower limit for allowing normal operation of an appliance. Upon detection of any one of these times, a microcomputor 8 forces an indicator 17 to indicate an alarm for urging replacement or charging of battery. In the case of detection through the latter circuit, file of FD is closed and the operation of the motor 16 is stopped with a time lag.
