PURPOSE:To connect a flat cable to a connector of multistage electrode structure by folding back the end part of a flat cable to arrange the cable end part in multistage, and connecting it to a connector housing. CONSTITUTION:Both the side areas 102 at the end part of a flat cable 10 are bent inward at 90 deg. along a first folding line 111 forming 45 deg. to a wiring layer 12 and also bent outward at 90 deg. along a second folding line 112 forming the angle of 45 deg. to the wiring layer 12 to arrange four wiring layers 12 separately in two vertical stages. A metal terminal 14 compressed onto the end part of each wiring layer 12 is pushed into each terminal receiving chamber 53 of a connector housing 50. Thus, the electric connecting element 14c of each metal terminal 14 is connected to each electrode part of the two vertical stages of the connector housing 50, and each fitting piece 14b is press-fitted to each terminal receiving chamber 53 and held thereby, so that the flat cable 10 can be connected to the connector housing 50 of multistage electrode structure. |
