Seat support for an office chair or the like, comprising a seat panel 2 which bears the seat cushion 3 and which, in the area around its front end, is rotatably connected to a stand body 1, holder devices 12 on the stand body for securing a column 14, a backrest 7 and an angled backrest holder 4 connected to the backrest, an approximately horizontal lower section 6 of the backrest holder being rotatably connected to the stand body, and a pneumatic spring 9 connected on the one hand to the stand body and on the other hand to the backrest holder. To obtain a simple and stable construction consisting of a small number of components, the backrest holder 4 is connected to the stand body 1 via a slide member 18 which forms a rotation bearing 23 and which can slide along a defined path section in a cam recess 17 on the stand body 1. The seat panel 2 rests with sliding on the horizontal section 6 of the backrest holder 4. The seat panel 2 advantageously consists of an essentially continuous metal plate reinforced by flanged projections and the stand body 1 consists essentially of a single injection- moulded part. <IMAGE> |
