The invention relates to a method for joining two components, the first of which is of sandwich type, comprising two strong skins between which a core is located, whereas the second is made of metal. - Advantageously it consists in: . providing a reserve (6) in one end (1A) of the said first component (1), so that the said core (5) is set back from the said skins (3, 4); . inserting wedges (10, 11) into the said reserve (6), the wedges bearing respectively against the said skins (3, 4), and the opposing faces (10B, 11B) of which form an internal space and are inclined in order to converge towards the said core (5); . shaping the end (2A) of the said second component (2) so that it engages in the said space between the said wedges; . forming through-holes (15) in the said skins (3, 4), the said wedges (10, 11) and the said nested end (2A) of the second component; and . fitting fasteners (16) in the said holes. <IMAGE>
