PURPOSE:To control a power-factor improvement capacitor without being affected by the power-on/interruption of facility load by providing wide range of selection for the power-factor improvement capacitor and selecting a capacitor power-on pattern so that the frequency of power-on/interruption of the capacitor can be minimized. CONSTITUTION:The device consists of an analog input module AI inputting reactive power from a converter 3, a digital input module DI inputting the power-on state of the capacitor, a digital output module DO outputting the power-on/interruption command of the capacitor, a MEM memory module housing a means determining a pattern of combining capacitors and an operation control part MPU reading a software program from the MEM module and executing it. These procedures are executed for each control period and the power-on/interruption of the capacitor is performed. At this time, the wide range of selection is provided for the capacitor and the capacitor power-on/ interruption pattern is selected so as to minimize the frequency of turning on/ interrupting the capacitor so that the power-on/interruption of the facility load cannot be affected. |
