PURPOSE: To attain long term shell life by preparing a stabilized aq. solution of an aryl hydrazide with the addition of a stabilizing quantity of ascorbic acid, isoascorbic adic or the like. CONSTITUTION: The stabilizing quantity of a stabilizer/an antioxidant selected from a group composed of ascorbic acid, an ascorbic acid isomer, tartaric acid, citric acid, glucose,α-cyclodextrin,β-cyclodextrin,γ-cyclodextrin or the mixture to the aq. solution of the aryl hydrazide expressed by formula I is added to stabilize the aq. solution. In formula I, Ar expresses a substituted phenyl group, or another substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, G expresses CO, SO, SO2 , PO2 PO3 and C=NR2 , X<+> expresses a group containing a cationic group, each of R1 , R2 and R3 can be the same or different and expresses hydrogen, a 1-6C alkyl or a 1-6C alkylsulfinyl and A- expresses an anion.
