PURPOSE:To select the resolution at a high speed and to attain printing with excellent picture quality when the lower resolution is selected. CONSTITUTION:Data D are sent to line buffers 3, 4 in a video rate of 600SPI from a host device 1 even in any of 600SPI, 300SPI, 150SPI modes. Data stored in the line buffers 3, 4 are read by using a read clock from write read control sections 5, 6 and sent to a printer laser light source 8 via an MPX 7. The control sections 5, 6 read the data in the 300SPI mode by using a clock whose period is twice the read clock in the 60OSPI mode and read the data in the 150SPI mode by using a clock whose period is 4 times the read clock in the 600SPI mode. Moreover, they read the same data successively by two lines in the 300SPI mode and read the same data successively by four lines in the 150SPI mode. |
