<p>PURPOSE:To improve picture image characteristics, fixing characteristics, storage stability, resistance against a plasticizer and stability of electrification characteristics, etc., by using a specified polyester resin obtd. from polyvalent carboxylic acids and polyhydric alcohols which contains substantially no gel content as a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:Such a polyester resin is used as the main component of the binder resin. This resin is obtd. from aromatic polyvalent carboxylic acids and polyhydric alcohols containing 20-98mol% diol deriv. expressed by formula I and 2-80mol% cyclohexane idmethanol deriv. and has <=0.5wt.% chroroform- insoluble content. In formula I, R1-R4 are independently H, CH3, and C2H5. The aromatic polyvalent carboxylic acids include aromatic dicarboxylic acid derivs. by the total >=70mol%, 0.2-8mol% polyvalent carboxylic acid deriv. having sulfonate group and other basic groups, and 0.5-80mol% of tervalent or higher valent carboxylic acid or its deriv. The aromatic dicarboxylic acid derivs. contain 40-95mol% terephthalic acid or its deriv. and 5-60mol% isophthalic acid or its deriv.</p> |
