PURPOSE: To reduce influence to be exerted upon the discrimination result of fault quantity by executing recursive high pass filtering for a spectral feature vector prior to the execution of comparison with a reference feature vector in an evaluation circuit. CONSTITUTION: This circuit device is provided with an evaluation circuit for detecting a spectral feature vector 21 from the time frame of a digital sound signal 3 by spectral analysis, logarithmically converting the vector 21 and comparing the logarithmically converted vector 21 with a reference feature vector 26. Prior to the execution of comparison with the vector 26 in the evaluation circuit, a recursive high pass filtering of the vector 21 is executed. The recursive high pass filtering is executed by calculation based on the shown equation I of a spectral feature vector M (n, i). In the equation I, V (n, i) is an unfiltered spectral feature vector, (n) is a time frame, (i) is a spectral feature M, V is a spectral component, and C is a constant. |
