Composition based on poly(vinyl chloride), process for its manufacture and electrical cable insulated with the aid of this composition

The composition is the product of mixing, in proportions of 50 to 90 parts by weight per 50 to 10 parts by weight, respectively, of plasticised poly(vinyl chloride) which has a Shore A hardness of between 70 and 100 and a polyester-ester which has a Shore A hardness of between 80 and 100. It combines the self-extinguishability of PVC and the ability of the polyesters-esters to withstand service temperatures higher than 125@C.
