PURPOSE:To appropriately control an interval obtained until stopping the action of a device after detecting no-toner without depending on conditions such as the size of an image, etc., by measuring the supply quantity of toner after detecting that the toner attains a specified remaining quantity. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a toner storing means 62 where the toner is stored, a toner supply means 50 which supplies the toner stored in the means 62 to a developing device 40, a detecting means 63 which detects that the toner stored in the means 62 attains the specified remaining quantity, a means for measuring the supply quantity of the toner supplied by the means 50 after the means 63 detects that the toner attains the specified remaining quantity, and an image forming inhibiting means which inhibits next image forming when the measured supply quantity of the toner attains a specified value. Therefore, in the case that the means 63 detects that the toner attains the specified remaining quantity, the supply quantity of the toner supplied thereafter is measured and when the supply quantity of the toner attains the specified value, the next image forming is inhibited. |
