<p>PURPOSE:To provide the motion vector detector for image capable of detecting the motion vector of the images with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A subtraction circuit 12 detects difference between the image data of respective picture elements in the block of a current frame and the image data of representative point picture element in the block of the preceding frame read out of a representative point memory 11, and a correlation integrating value table forming circuit 13 forms a correlation integrating value table. A motion vector estimating circuit 14 estimates the motion vector by calculating a coordinate proportionally dividing a distance between picture elements corresponding to a distance between peripheral coordinates with the peripheral coordinate, where the coordinate of a minimum correlation integrating value in the correlation integrating value table positions at the center, as a proportional coefficient.</p> |
