PURPOSE:To generate pulse voltage efficiently despite being small-sized comparatively by making primary and secondary windings of a high tension pulse transformer as close as possible to improve the magnetic coupling of both windings. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical primary bobbin 1 wound with a primary winding 2 along the outer periphery is fitted onto the outer periphery of a cylindrical iron core 5, and a cylindrical secondary bobbin 3 wound with a secondary winding 4 along the outer periphery onto the outer periphery of the primary bobbin 1, where a foil-shaped conductor wire of flat cross section is used for the primary winding 2 instead of a conductor wire of round cross section used generally in the prior art.
