PURPOSE:To easily retrieve recorded contents and to eliminate a need of a picture memory by independently recording plural still pictures on a recording medium as multiple picture data. CONSTITUTION:In the case of multiple picture data of, for example, 25 pictures, recorded pictures of tracks #1 to #25 are stored in a field memory 20a as multiple picture data of 25 pictures, and recorded pictures of tracks #26 to #50 are stored in a field memory 20b as multiple picture data of 25 pictures. In this case, multiple picture data of 25 pictures consisting of still pictures recorded on tracks #3 to #26 and multiple picture data of 25 pictures consisting of still pictures recorded on tracks #27 to #50 are recorded on the track #1 and the track #2 respectively as retrieval data for still pictures recorded on 50 tracks of a magnetic disk. Multiple picture data recorded in this manner is reproduced and outputted to confirm the outline of recorded contents of the recording medium. Further, field memories and frame memories are unnecessary for reproducing. |
