PURPOSE:To obtain the electronic dictionary/lexicon device which can execute easily a retrieval between each different dictionary and lexicon. CONSTITUTION:In a CD-ROM for containing a Japanese-English dictionary and an English-Japanese dictionary, a Japanese-English dictionary index 1000, Japanese-English dictionary data 2000, an English-Japanese index 3000 and English-Japanese data 4000 are prepared. For instance, in a translated word 'cach' to a keyword 'OKANE' recorded in an address 2200, an address 4360 is recorded as retrieval information. When a user who displays the contents related to 'OKANE' by retrieving the Japanese-English dictionary selects the translated word 'cash' on a display screen and gives directly an instruction of a retrieval, the contents related to 'cash' in the English-Japanese dictionary can be displayed immediately by accessing the address 4360 recorded as the retrieval information. |
