PURPOSE: To increase the operational availability of the system of a computer program operating in the dispersion system of a computer. CONSTITUTION: The two complete copies of an operational unit(OU) 10 called a module are loaded in independent address spaces 20 and 20' of two individual computers 22 and 22'. One of those modules is identified as a primary address space(PAS) by a network server 12, and a service demand is commanded to all the other modules. Those other modules are called a waiting address space (SAS), and identified only by the PAS. The PAS transmits state data belonging to an application to the SAS, and the state of the PAS is recognized by the SAS. |
