PURPOSE:To prevent an erroneous detection caused by unnecessary radiation, a mutual interference wave, etc., with regard to a system for detecting a free channel, in a radio system for deciding whether a radio channel is being used or not by a carrier sense output. CONSTITUTION:In the free channel detecting system for a radio system for deciding whether a radio channel is being used or not by a carrier sense output for showing existence of a carrier, information for showing the number of a use channel is provided in a transmission signal, on the side of a transmitting station 1, and also, a transmission channel number detecting means 5 is provided on the side of a receiving station 2, the number of the use channel in the information provided in the transmission signal is detected, and by providing a coincidence collating means 4, the channel number detected by a carrier sense, and the channel number detected in the transmission channel number detecting means 5 are collated as to its coincidence. When they do not coincide with each other, nonuse of a radio channel in which a carrier sense output is generated is decided. |
