Individual metals are sepd. from a mixt. of small pieces of metals in a heatable furnace (10), rotatable at different speeds with a charging arrangement (10a) at one end and an opening (22a) at a lower end to a funnel-shaped outlet (26). Between inlet and outlet, the outer wall of the furnace has perforations (11) at least in sections, where the temp. can be adjusted to max. from heating. The size of the perforations is such the metal with the lowest m.pt. in the mixt. can escape in molten form, leaving the remainder.
