The frame has a retaining device (7,8) for the coupling field (3) as formed by the optical fibre plug connector (1). The retaining device is on a mounting wall roughly in the centre of the frame and holds the connectors at an angle of 45 deg. to the vertical after assembly. The retaining device consists of a slide (7) moving in a horizontal slotted hole (13) on the mounting wall (14) and a projection (8). The projection is at 45 deg. to the wall and designed as a clamp (18-22) engaging around a part (4) of the plug connector.
