摘要 The path controller has an orbital data bank as interface (1) for exchanging path and manoeuvring information between four independent, decoupled function blocks (2,3,4,5) that operate to control the satellite orbits. One of the function blocks (2) is used to determine orbit paths and for manoeuvre calibration and estimation. The second block (3) calculates manoeuvres, and the third (4) monitors relative movement of the satellite(s). The last function block (5) predicts special occurrences, e.g. the effects of the moon's gravitational pull. Pref. the data bank comprises a Scratch-data bank to store current data, and a Best-Knowledge data-bank to store only the known path and manoeuvre information. ADVANTAGE - Quick and reliable position correction, close encounters of satellites is avoided.
