Packaging of roller-shaped goods - using foil, wrapped around roll, and wrapping ends pushed sealing into roll ends

Goods with core sleeves are wrapped in a length of foil of esp. synthetic material, paper, etc. Projecting ends of the material are folded down, and then pushed into the core ends. Within the core (15), every projection (16) is formed into a tubular stiffened body, by connection of its overlapping parts. If synthetic foil is used, this is heated until it softens, and the overlapping sections are welded together by pressure. If paper is used, the overlapping parts are supplied with adhesive, and are then glued to the inside of the core. USE/ADVANTAGE - Easy handling of goods and packaging by machine, complete seal at end of tube.
