The appts. warns drivers when there is game or deer near a roadway or as soon as the game or deer crosses the road. The device includes sensor units (11) which are mounted near the outer edge of the roadway. The units react to the presence of animals near the road and pass a signal to the warning or alarm units (12), in particular blinking or flashing red light units. All the units are fitted on a rod (10) and are powered by rechargeable Nickel-Cadmium batteries (13). The batteries are recharged by a solar cell (14) at a 12 volt potential. The sensor units are ultra-sound sensitive units. ADVANTAGE - Improvement in reliability with which drivers are warned and wild animals protected against injury or death due to collisions.
