PURPOSE:To enable a black image especially free from metallic luster and having high light shielding properties, high resolution, superior aging stability, etc. to be obtd. by forming an image forming layer made of metal-sulfide mixture on a support and further forming a photosensitive resin composition layer. CONSTITUTION:A metal such as Al or Sn and a metal sulfide such an SnSx (1<=x <=2) or GeSy (1<=y<=3) are mixed in 20:1-2:1 molar ration, and this mixture is converted into an about 40-500nm thick image forming layer on a support of polyester, paper or the like by vacuum deposition, sputtering ot other method. On this layer a positive or negative type photosensitive resin layer is formed to obtain a photosensitive image forming material. This material is imagewise exposed and subjected to development and etching with an alkali agent by a single bath process. After development, etching may be carried out with an etching soln. Thus, a black image free from metallic luster is obtd. Since this image is black and has low reflectance, it has enhanced resolution owing to antihalation. |
