<p>A device for reshaping railway rails comprises a needle wheel (20) consisting of a disc (18) which is locked on a drive shaft (19), and metal needles (17) which are attached to one side of the disc (18). Said needles (17) are at least as hard as the rails and have a degree of flexibility. The free ends of the needles (17) form a plane surface which corresponds to the upper surface of the rail head. When the free ends are contacted with the rail head by rotating the drive shaft (19) and moving the device along the track, said needles (17) shear off protuberant portions such as ripples, bumps, etc., and fine grind the upper surface of the rail head.</p> |
