<p>A carburettor (1) for low-pressure gaseous fuel (11) comprising: a hollow body (2) having a through bore, a venturi (3) in said through bore, a throttle valve (4) downstream of said venturi (3), a jet (9) positioned in the venturi (3), said jet (9) connected to a gaseous fuel supply (11), a flow control valve (15) interposed between said jet (9) and said fuel supply (11), said control valve (15) being operatively connected to the throttle valve (4) such that movement of the throttle valve (4) causes translation of a valve element (26) in a gas port whereby the area of the port is varied to regulate the flow of gaseous fuel (11) to the jet (9) in direct proportion to movement of the throttle valve (4).</p> |
