<p>A device for the late addition of a particulate alloy during casting of liquid metal, located between a hot metal ladle or an automatic metal feeding device and a series of moulds to be filled, wherein the device comprises a sufficiently thick confined stream of liquid metal flowing through a mixing chamber such as a vortex, and a non-immersed means (8) for adding alloy particles with sufficient speed and power to drive them deep into the liquid metal in the sufficiently thick portion (4) thereof located close to a casting port (5).</p> |
