摘要 <p>A waste paper sorting installation has a sieve feeding conveyors (8) each of which has a colour detection device (9) which controls at least one discharge arrangement (10,11,12) further downstream. At least one discharge arrangement (10) can feed a further conveyor (15,20) with a sepg. stage for light and heavy materials or ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Oversize material from the sieve can be taken by a conveyor (25) to a thermal separation installation (25). Waste paper is fed via a magnetic separator (2) to a sieving drum (5) which initially has 100mm dia. holes to remove fines to a conveyor (6). Further downstream the drum (5) has 200-500mm dia. holes leading to 18 to 20 conveyors (8) equipped with colour detection devices (9) which operate discharges (10,11,12) w.r.t. colour. The material is then compressed and taken to container (17,19,22,23,24). Oversize material is taken by a conveyor (25) to a heater (26) and is sepd. by dischargers (27,28,29) w.r.t. amt. of heat retained. USE/ADVANTAGE - Reduces the labour requirements for storing waste paper for recycling.</p>
