<p>The dressing system of the present invention provides, in one aspect, a composite dressing (10) that allows a wound (12) to be dressed in one easy step and redressed without disturbing the wound. The composite dressing (10) comprises a contact component (14) having a bottom side facing a wound (12), and a top side (18). A dressing component (20) is releasably attached to the top side (18) of the contact component (14) such that the dressing component (20) can be readily separated from the contact component (14) if pulled relative to the contact component (14). The contact component (14) can remain on the wound (12) to prevent disturbance and another composite dressing (16) or dressing component (20) can be applied to the contact component (14).</p> |
